Are you a woman looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women and girls in our community? Would you like to meet other like-minded women who have a passion for service? Maybe you’ll even meet your new best friend!
Membership in Soroptimist International of Mission Valley is easy! We meet once a month and there are no attendance requirements. All we ask is that you do what you can to help us in our mission to improve the lives of women and girls. Our minutes and other documents are stored in the cloud, so you can stay up to date and contribute, even when your life gets in the way!

LiveYourDream.org is an online volunteer and activist network offering flexible action opportunities to improve the lives of women and girls.
We provide advocacy and action opportunities to spread awareness about causes such as access to education, empowering girls, and ending violence against women.
Here you will find inspiration and information , stories and news and many ways to become involved in the Soroptimist mission of helping women and girls reach their full potential and live their dreams.
Sponsorship Opportunities
When you choose to sponsor one of our programs, not only will you have the satisfaction of knowing you are helping women and girls live their dreams, you will also receive recognition for your support. Sponsors will be listed on our website, recognized at our events and thanked publicly on Facebook. Business sponsors can also provide us with a logo and we will link to your website.
Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award
Help us support more women by giving out more awards. Our top award is $1,000 and our runner-up award is $500. Will you help us give more awards by sponsoring awards at either level?
Or, help an award winner stay connected to us by sponsoring her membership in Soroptimist International of Mission Valley. Her membership gives her a sense of inclusion, access to mentors and role models, and sets the stage for her future volunteer activities.
However you decide to help, you will know that your support is improving the lives of a woman and her family and setting the stage to break the cycle of poverty. You can read about the Live Your Dream Award and some of our past awardees here.
Soroptimist Dream It, Be It
Our Dream It, Be It program will help hundreds of girls in San Diego gain the skills and resources they want and need to be successful. We envision growing this program and reaching even more girls As a DIBI Sponsor, you can help us provide materials, food and rewards for these at-risk girls.
- Shirt Sponsor: A “graduation” gift for each participant – a DIBI shirt to proudly wear to show off their accomplishment.
- Food Sponsor: Many DIBI participants are “food insecure” so we provide healthy food at each DIBI session from local restaurants and stores.
- Materials Sponsor: Your sponsorship will provide the following Dream It, Be It branded items for each participant: Journal and pen, 2-pocket folder, bracelet.
Volunteer
Not ready to join but want to help? Terrific!! We have a variety of ways you can pitch in for women and girls.
We always need help obtaining in-kind donations for our fund raising events. Everything from bottles of wine to passes for local attractions – and everything in between.
You can help us connect with women who are eligible for the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award. Each fall we conduct workshops to let women know about the award and help the complete the application process. This is a real “hands-on” project.
Would you like to share your wisdom and experience with teen girls facing obstacles achieving their goals? Then Soroptimist Dream It, Be It might be a great place to volunteer.
